I have taught Conversation Italian for many years privately. I have recently taught two university courses in conversation Italian at the University of Warwick.

Over the years, I have taught in several language schools (Scuola di italiano della Società Dante Alighieri; Happy Languages; CityLingual). In that context, many of the classes I taught were for complete beginners in Italian.

I taught intensive Italian courses for a long time at the Italian school of the Società dante Alighieri. These courses were aimed at students who wanted to take many hours of lessons in a few weeks in order to rapidly improve their knowledge of the language.

In my career, I held special courses, specifically designed for preparation for the PLIDA, CILS and CELI exams (three of the four certifications recognised by the Italian Ministry).At the language school Happy Languages I held courses specifically aimed at those who intended to take the CILS certification.

Teaching general Italian is the basis of all the courses I teach. Learning a language always has to do with acquiring a general sense of the culture that revolves around it.

I am a graduate from Italy with a Master's degree and a Doctorate from the UK. During my doctorate, I also collaborated with US universities. In addition, I have taught Italian language and culture at the university level in both Italy and the UK. Therefore, I am absolutely equipped to prepare students for Advance Placement and give them all the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in their university courses.
