Having lived in both the UK and Dubai, I’ve regularly supported friends and colleagues in improving their conversational English. My exposure to diverse cultures and accents has helped me develop a clear and adaptable communication style, grounded in real-life interactions.

During my time at Avtrade, a leading UK-based aircraft component company, I worked in a professional corporate environment, leading a team, delivering training, and managing onboarding processes. This gave me real-world experience in formal communication, technical language, and business interactions. I have also completed a DipHE in Business and Management (Distinction), and I'm currently studying a Business Management and HR bachelor's degree.

I’ve supported beginners informally, and I understand how important it is to create a safe and encouraging learning environment. As someone who is naturally calm and patient, I take the time to explain things clearly and at a comfortable pace. My own experiences learning alongside people from different language backgrounds, taught me how to break things down simply, to support beginners step-by-step as they build their confidence.

I am British and I grew up in the UK. Having went through the British GCSE school system, I have first-hand experience with British spelling, grammar, and pronunciation. I also spent part of my schooling in Dubai, through the IGCSE school system. This gave me a good understanding of how British English compares with other global varieties.

As someone who has travelled internationally and lived abroad, I understand the importance of speaking English confidently while exploring the world. I help students develop practical English skills for real-life travel situation. Such as asking for directions, checking into hotels, ordering food, handling emergencies, and making small talk with locals. My lessons are designed to build fluency, cultural awareness, and the confidence needed to enjoy meaningful travel experiences around the world.

With my TEFL certification and experience teaching international learners, I can help you feel confident and prepared for the TOEFL exam. I focus on all four skills tested in the exam such as reading, writing, listening, and speaking. While also helping you build the academic vocabulary, grammar accuracy, and time management skills needed for success. Whether you need support with essay writing, speaking fluently under pressure, or understanding TOEFL-style questions, I’ll guide you step-by-step with personalised strategies and practice tasks tailored to your goals.

At AvTrade, I helped train and onboard new recruits, which gave me a solid understanding of what makes a candidate stand out. I’ve also gone through UK-based recruitment processes myself, which has given me insight into effective communication in interviews and the workplace. Additionally, I have also completed a Level 2 in Understanding Equality and Diversity.

I’ve supported children with their English learning on an informal basis. By drawing on my own education through both GCSE and IGCSE systems. I understand how school-aged learners engage with language, allowing me to explain concepts in a simple and relatable way.

I’ve completed both the UK GCSE curriculum and the IGCSE while at school in Dubai, giving me a strong understanding of academic expectations. During my studies, I worked with a private tutor who came to my home. This helped me develop effective strategies for breaking down tasks and understanding of what needed to be done. This experience gave me a clear perspective on how I can support others with their own homework, in a structured and approachable way.

Having studied at an international school in Dubai, I’ve gained first-hand experience in a multicultural and multilingual learning environment.
