Since 2015 I have been teaching Portuguese to complete beginners from many linguistic backgrounds (English, Spanish, French, German, etc.).In these classes we focus on clear communication from day one: basic grammar, essential vocabulary and pronunciation, always within realistic situations (introductions, daily routines, travel, work).Lessons are structured, but flexible, and include homework and feedback so that you build a solid foundation and feel confident to move to the next level.

Brazilian Portuguese changes a lot according to region, context and level of formality. Since 2015 I have helped students refine their speaking so they can move naturally between casual, neutral and more formal registers.In our conversational lessons we work with authentic materials (audio, video, short texts) and focus on fluency, listening skills, vocabulary expansion and pronunciation, always adapting topics to your interests and needs.

I hold a BA in Letters (Portuguese and Brazilian Studies), as well as a Master’s degree (2019) and a PhD (2024) in Brazilian Literature from PUC-Rio.General Portuguese lessons integrate all skills (listening, reading, speaking and writing) with systematic grammar practice and vocabulary building.The course is organised by levels and learning goals, so that you can clearly see your progress from A1 to advanced stages.

I hold both a Master’s degree (2019) and a PhD (2024) in Brazilian Literature from PUC-Rio, with research focused on Lusophone Modernist and Contemporary Poetry.Literature classes are ideal for advanced students who wish to read Brazilian and Portuguese authors in the original, discuss historical and cultural contexts and improve their academic or essay writing. We can work with novels, short stories and poetry, according to your interests and level, combining close reading with vocabulary and stylistic analysis.

I have been teaching Portuguese to foreigners since 2015 and specialising in Celpe-Bras preparation since 2018.In this course you will become familiar with the exam format and practise all the tasks required: integrated listening–reading–writing activities and the oral interview. We will work with real or adapted Celpe-Bras tasks, time management and clear strategies to organise your answers.Classes are tailored to your profile and exam date, and include detailed feedback on your texts and oral performance. I recommend at least an intermediate level of Portuguese (B1 or higher) before starting this preparation.

Many learners struggle with adjectives in Portuguese: position in the sentence, agreement, subtle changes of meaning and differences from their native language.In these focused lessons we clarify the main rules and, more importantly, practise them through speaking and writing activities.You will gain confidence in using adjectives naturally, improve your accuracy and make your Portuguese sound more precise and expressive.
