Julia B.

Hello! My name is Julia and I am a writer, teacher, and creative mentor. I was born in Germany, raised in the United States, and I am currently living in Ecuador. I’m the self-published author of 18 children’s books, using the pen name Willow Roots, each designed to inspire imagination and share meaningful life lessons. I love helping people express themselves through writing, storytelling, and creativity.

I have nearly 20 years of teaching experience across multiple age groups and subjects. I hold an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, and I was close to completing my Bachelor’s Degree before choosing to move to Ecuador to focus fully on my writing career. Most of my teaching background is in early childhood education, but I’ve also taught elementary students in math, music, and art, and have provided tutoring support to college-level learners. My teaching style is patient, flexible, and supportive—I always meet students exactly where they are and help them grow with confidence.
