About me

Γεια χαρά! I am Neia - your Greek language Teacher.

I am originally from Georgia and I’ve been living in Cyprus for around 20 years. Greek is the language I have been using every day - at work, in daily life, with my family.

My long (more than 20 years) teaching experience along with the fact that I have also learned Greek as a second language, make it easier to understand the challenges you may face - and I know how to overcome them.

Languages are my passion. I’ve been learning and teaching them for most of my life. In addition to Greek, I speak fluent English, Russian, German, Spanish, and of course my native Georgian. I’ve explored countless learning and teaching methods and am always looking for new, effective ways to help my students succeed.

My lessons are 100% personalized. I adapt to your needs, goals, and learning style to create a supportive and engaging learning experience.

I will be happy to be a part of your Greek journey and explore this wonderful culture together!

P.S. I currently teach only adults.

I have been teaching Greek language for over 20 years, 6 of which I was employed by the Ministry of Education of Cyprus, where I was assisting the students not only in learning Greek, but also get adapted in the new environment. The program included elementary and high school, as well as evening adults classes.

After the trial lesson, I immediately signed up: I liked Neia's warmth and responsiveness. For me, this was an important criterion for comfortable learning. The lessons follow a personal effective program and an individual approach, with a lot of practice and repetition during the process, so you start speaking faster. Greek is a grammatically complex language, but with such a teacher, learning in Russian becomes easy and interesting. My journey started not long ago, and our lessons inspire me to continue. I highly recommend Neia as a Greek language teacher <3

I really enjoyed my lessons with Neia! I love her approach - everything feels practical and easy to apply in real life, not just textbook Greek. She teaches useful patterns that help me build sentences and communicate even with a smaller vocabulary, which gave me a lot of confidence from the very beginning. Our lessons are always interactive and fun, with games and personalized tasks that focus on the areas that are hardest for me. I really enjoy my lessons with Neia and can honestly say she changed the way I feel about learning Greek. What is most important for me is that she is incredibly patient and truly helps me go through my own language transfer. She explains in detail why Greek words and structures are formed the way they are, so I don’t just memorize things blindly. Step by step, I start to really understand the logic and nuances of the language, and that makes a huge difference. The most important result for me is that I actually started to enjoy learning Greek. I initially came with a very practical goal - just to learn enough to pass an exam - but now I genuinely want to continue and go deeper into the language. Highly recommended!
