Haiyan is an incredibly kind, patient, and encouraging teacher. You can tell that she prepares her lessons well, but she can also easily adjust if you want to spend a bit more or less time on something. Thanks to her, I have finally found the motivation to seriously engage with learning Chinese again. Her lessons are genuinely very enjoyable, and everything is open for discussion.

Additionnally to being extremely patient, bubbly (with a truly infectious energy) and supportive, Haiyan is also extremely knowledgeable in the "secrets" of the Chinese culture. Her material is so well prepared, but if you're curious about a specific topic, she'll immediately to dive into it deeper. Haiyan is challenging, yet does it with such softness that taking risks as a student feels like a game. I look forward to every next lesson.
