About me

Hello everyone, I’m Mayu!

I was bored and raised in Nara where there are many historic buildings.

I worked wearing kimono about for 4 years.

I’ve lived in Colombia for 2 years.

I taught Japanese culture there.

Tea ceremony🍵, flower arrangement🌸, kimono dressing👘, Japanese cooking, etc.

I also enjoyed experiencing Colombian culture and conversing with the locals.　

I love learning languages and experiencing different cultures💫.

I am currently studying Spanish,

I also speak daily English.

I’ve also studied Portuguese and Korean.

I’ve experienced the frustration of not being able to communicate in a language.

That's why I can relate to the joy😆 of getting my messages across ☺️

Mayu is very kind and patient. She listens to what I want to say and offers suggestions and corrections. After each lesson, she sends a list of new words that came up in the lesson.

Communication was iffy at times but for the most part she was really patient and didn't rush me. Honestly though I think the iffy communication prepares me to adapt to native speakers as a whole and encourages me to learn outside of the lessons.
