    About me

    Hello, my name is Dai.

I've been a Japanese language teacher in Japan for 6 years.

I've also studied abroad in the United States, so I can speak English.

My hobbies include anime, traveling, games, and manga.

I especially love anime and have watched many of them.

Here are some of my favorites:

Slam Dunk, Dragon Ball, fullmetal alchemist, Demon Slayer, Fist of the North Star, Jujutsu Kaisen, Tokyo Ghoul, Attack on Titan, Death Note, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Kingdom, Blue Lock, Terra Formars, GANTZ, Grappler Baki, The Boy and the Beast, Tokyo Revengers, Studio Ghibli films, and more (I've watched even more!)

Please tell me your favorite anime!!

And let's talk about anime together!

I've loved games since I was a kid, and I've played most of the famous ones, like Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy.

I've traveled to about 12 countries.

My travels have included the United States, Canada, Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, the Philippines, Italy, France, and Germany.

I love the cultures of different countries, so I'd love to learn about your country.

Lessons are conducted in both English and Japanese.

Of course, Japanese-only lessons are also fine.

I currently have over 1,600 lessons under my belt.

If you're a beginner at learning Japanese, I recommend using a textbook.

    I use "GENKI."

This book is written in English for beginners and is used by many Japanese language learners.

Using this book will help you understand Japanese smoothly.

If you've studied Japanese before and are confident, conversation lessons without a textbook are fine.

I believe I can provide lessons tailored to each individual.

I can also teach simple Japanese that can be used in various places if you're planning a trip to Japan.

The key to learning Japanese is not to be afraid.

It's okay to make mistakes, so just talk as much as you can!!

The quickest way to improve is to talk a lot about your favorite Japanese topics.

I'm looking forward to talking with you all!

I have six years of experience teaching Japanese.

Even students who could not speak Japanese at all were able to have daily conversations in one year. I can also teach Japanese for business use.

In addition to studying Japanese, let's talk about our favorite Japanese culture, food, manga, anime, sightseeing, and more!

For the longest time, I put off getting a tutor because I wasn't sure where to start with my learning journey or if the teacher would be able to develop a plan that worked for me and my busy schedule. I'm glad I booked lessons with Dai because he is a great instructor. I know I'll get something out of every class. We go through a variety of exercises and practice speaking and reading. I prefer the Genki textbook; we utilize that often, but there are also free resources we practice with as well. It is a great learning environment, and Dai really caters to his students.

Dai is an incredible tutor. I cannot recommend him enough. He provides thoughtful insights on common confusion points among Japanese learners. His lessons are easy to follow and foster a deeper understanding of the subject material. In person Dai's teaching style is very intuitive and easy to grasp. When I visited Japan I was able to apply taught material with a yakiniku reservation and touring Mt. Fuji.

I look forward to every lesson with Dai. Reading a textbook alone without context can be challenging, and it is so helpful to have the opportunity to ask questions and learn more. Beyond just our text book reviews, I truly enjoy the cultural exchange and contextual lessons included. My understanding of Japanese is improving, and every lesson is not only informative but fun as well. I am very happy that I chose Dai as my tutor. We had the opportunity to meet up when I visited Japan- we went to a lot of fun places! My Japanese has been improving, and we have added more and more ways to make the lessons even more conversational. I am excited for the next time I visit Japan again and can test my skills once more (:
