Hello! 😀 I'm Francesca and I've been teaching Italian since 2016.

I was born and raised in Sardinia, a very beautiful island in Italy, but I lived in Riga for 4 years and there I discovered my passion for teaching Italian.

I have a degree in Educational Sciences and I love studying pedagogy and how different teaching methods can facilitate the learning process.

Along with my passion for my work, I also have a passion for music, art, drawing, and everything creative. I enjoy singing, writing stories, poems, and songs. I like drawing, and hiking in nature.

I started teaching Italian thanks to an opportunity I had while I was living in Latvia, which consisted in creating an Italian language and culture club for a group of students from different countries. My lessons offered games, music, pop culture, films, literature, cooking workshops, traditions, and much more about the Italian culture, using non-formal education methods as an opportunity to learn the language while having fun and exchanging our cultures.

After this first experience, several students asked me to continue with 1 to 1 lessons.

Around the same time, I began collaborating with several language schools, teaching classes at different levels (A1, A2, B1, and B2). I also collaborated with companies, offering preparation for certification tests and language level recognition. Once I returned to Italy, I began teaching online, with private and group lessons, for students from all over the world, with very different goals, levels, ages, and needs.

1) Conversation: The sooner you start speaking, the faster you'll learn the language.

2) Music: Music is a magical tool for memorization and cultural connection.

3) Personalization and empathy: Your interests and attitudes are the first starting point. It's important to express your personality to feel comfortable in a new language, and I'll use my empathy to catch your needs, your learning style and help you reach your goals.

4) Laughter and fun: Emotions help create more effective and long lasting memorization, so why not have fun?

5) Grammar Tricks: Grammar rules are important and can be complex, but there are always tips and tricks to simplify everything.

6) Italian Culture: A language is nothing without its culture. Anything that piques your curiosity and interests can become material for our lessons.

7) A Native Teacher: This is certainly an added value, because I can share with you real phrases and expressions of the spoken language and help you understand Italian culture from the perspective of someone who has spent most of her life in this beautiful country.

I love getting to know my students, empathizing with them, encouraging and motivating them, and understanding together how I can guide them toward their dream of learning Italian.
