My name is Štěpánka. I come from Prague. I have more than 10 years experience of teaching Czech to foreign students. I teach all levels. I will be very happy to help you to master the Czech language.

I took lessons with this teacher for about a month. Some of the lessons were okay and I did try to give it a fair chance. Unfortunately, the last lesson really confirmed that this wasn’t the right fit for me. In the last lesson, I tried to be more direct and clearly expressed my disagreement with the teaching style. Instead, I received some very harsh comments, frequent interruptions and a clear lack of active listening and understanding of what I was actually saying. My feedback was attributed to me being emotional, which felt more like a projection than an accurate description of the situation. Overall, it felt hard to find a middle ground. There was a pattern of being interrupted and a strong focus on authority rather than listening.

I have been having classes with Stepanka for a while and I really enjoy them. She brings different topics into the classes, cultural awareness, and helpful subject that actually helps me living in the Czech Republic.
