About me

Hello, my name is Svetlana. I was born in Russia, on the Volga. Now I live in New Zealand, in Auckland. I have experience working as a teacher of English in a primary school in Russia and teaching Russian to young New Zealanders. I like working with children, giving them new knowledge, expanding their horizons by involving them in the magical world of learning a foreign language. However, I am happy to work with adults of any age category. Linguistics, the study of foreign languages, is the passion of my life. I always compare learning a foreign language to opening another window in my house; the more windows are open, the further and wider the space opens in front of you and the more opportunities in life open up. In addition, I like to read classics, books on esotericism and philosophy. I love to cook and try new recipes from different cuisines of the world. I am especially attracted to Italian and Georgian cuisines.

I have 10 years' experience of teaching at primary school. I have diploma of linguistics.

So far I'm learning a lot! She meets my every need and was kind enough to encourage me to ask questions. The lessons are prepared based on the goals and requests of the student, so all in all if you want to learn a little bit or become fluent in Russian, I'd totally recommend you to book a lesson with her!
