About me

Hello, my name is Idan, I love teaching Hebrew in a well structured, simple and intuitive way. I was born in Israel next to the sea in a city called "Bat-Yam" (which literally means Mermaid), and I have always loved the sea and nature in general. I love to hear music, read books, and work in the garden.

Since I finished my bachelors studies at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 2010, I have been working and teaching Hebrew to international groups of students arriving for a 6 months "Masa" training program at an ecological Permaculture farm where I have been working and teaching Hebrew.

I love teaching Hebrew and share insights about the Israeli culture. I also enjoy learning new languages myself (currently learning Portuguese). And I would love to help you learn the beautiful Hebrew language. I believe the best way to learn a new language is by immersing yourself in it, and I have a system of teaching that allows you to do just that by practicing hearing, talking, and reading with exercises tailored to your level.

I take my work seriously and have a high-speed internet connection as well as top-notch sound hardware, so technical issues will not be an issue.

I have tried so many times to learn Hebrew, and was beginning to think that I'm just not capable. Idan is amazing! He patiently walks me through each day's lesson, helping me learn to read, speak, and understand. He has the right mixture, for my level, of reading and learning from prepared lessons, and of free-form conversation. Thank you Idan!

I am learning now two years with Idan and still enjoy every lesson. By now I am able to understand more and more all day hebrew and even watching simple videos and listen to the local radio. His way of teaching is never boring and I am still learning new things about israeli life and culture. I am very grateful for that.
