About me

Hello! Nice to meet you! I am a Greek native speaker. I’ve been teaching Greek as a foreign language for a year now. Here are some facts about my lessons:

✗ Lessons are for A2 level students and up as my English is not that good.

✔ Improve your conversational skills

✔I can give you the etymology of the words.

✔I give images to describe

✔I also use materials from books

✗ I don't teach children

As I don’t speak English very well, during our lessons we will mostly have to communicate in Greek, so you will learn the language faster and better.

I adore teaching Greek! I’m interested in philosophy, well-being, life and people in general!

Greek is a very interesting and smart language that really worth learning. We are going to learn idioms, interesting words, verbs and stories.

Ideal if you really want to learn to speak. Makis is very friendly and speaks exclusively in Greek, but can also translate a bit into English in case of emergency. In the end, speaking is the most important part of learning a language, which is why lessons with Makis are significantly more meaningful than with teachers who constantly speak English with you. I highly recommend Makis as a teacher.

I am very glad that I found Makis :) I have been learning Greek for a while now and have had lessons at various schools and platforms. Now I have finally found a teacher with whom I can really speak Greek continuously in class (of course with help and a bit shaky at the beginning, but much more than before)! He is a great teacher, very positive, and after just a few hours, I already feel like I have improved. Makis really types every vocabulary word I don't know in the chat and gives me a complete list with translations at the end of the session, which I can then easily enter into my vocabulary trainer. Time flies, and I am looking forward to the next lesson :) Thank you very much, Maki!

I like learning with Makis, he is very easy going and fun to talk to. He lets me speak a lot, encourages to express myself despite my fear and mistakes and I feel more confident talking in Greek after these few months of his classes. I would keep learning with him ;)
