About me

Γεια σας! Are you interested in Greek language? Are you an already advanced learner or you would wish start from the beginning? Regardless your level is, I am here to guide you on this beautiful language journey. I'm a Greek language teacher holding a bachelors degree in Philosophy & Greek Linguistics as well a certification in Teaching Greek as a foreign language. Since 2010, I teach Modern Greek in private lessons, live or on-line, having students from all over the world.

I highly believe that learning has to be personalized, by taking into account that diversity is an important aspect.

For that reason, my teaching method is a blend of student- centered and teacher-centered approach, focusing on the specific needs, interests and pace of every student of mine, considering always that the main motivation for both sides is the learning process.

In that way I try to meet every time the needs of my students by adapting the curriculum

(pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, speaking, listening, reading, writing) to my students' characteristics.

I believe that teaching a new language is an integral process that involves not only repetition, learning by heart, exercising, practicing, but also to get into language’s character, mentality, and worldview –to get to know the people who speak this language.

Moreover, I provide my students with the necessary material (books, audio and viideo material etc.). I use a standard or an intensive teaching method for faster results and my students choose which one is better for them.

I will be very happy to help you discover together step by step this beautiful language.

I have tried many different methods to learn Greek, but my experience with Stella has been by far the most effective. She has a remarkable ability to make complex concepts easy and understandable by providing the right cultural and linguistic context. Her curriculum is exceptionally well-structured, focusing on the essential building blocks of grammar, sentence structure, accents, and vocabulary in a way that feels practical rather than overwhelming. What I appreciate most is her flexibility; she is incredibly knowledgeable and frequently pivots her teaching style to match my individual way of learning. If you are looking for a tutor who builds a solid foundation and helps you grow from there, I cannot recommend her enough.

In 7-8 months with Stella I have learned Greek from 0 and I’ve passed B1 level exam. Only personalized approach, engaging lessons, and professionalism. Highly recommend if you want to learn Greek!
